The flat panel solar collector is available in landscape and portrait options. By using the flashing kit, either can be fixed into the roof so it is flush with the tiles. There is also the option to fix the panel 'on-roof' or, with a special A-frame, it can be used on flat roofs.

The solar panel collects solar radiation and transfers the energy in to heat. Inside the collector a selective layer of aluminium absorbs the radiation. The energy is then passed to water that runs around copper pipes laser welded beneath the plate. The plate and pipes are encased in a robust aluminium case, with a toughened, transparent glass cover.
The absorption coefficient of the collector is 94% with only 5% emissions (comprising light and heat).
There is an NTC built in to the panel. This controls the pump and water flow around the collector, in order to optimise the amount of energy being collected with what is actually required.
The panel comes complete with two flexible hoses for the feed and return connections to the drain back unit.
