Dixell Universal R Refrigeration Defrost Control and Thermostat

Replaces over 100 different controllers from:
LAE, Carel, Every, Beta, Eliwell, Dixell, SAE, Intek, Danfoss, Teddington and other manufacturers.

Replaces all common types of controller:
Cooling thermostats, heating thermostats, off cycle defrost refrigeration controllers, combined multi-function refrigeration & defrost controllers, dead-band controllers (including those with defrost)

Unique SMART parameter makes it uniquely simple to program:
Adjusting the SMART parameter between settings 1 to 6 is all thats needed to configure the Universal-R for the same functionality as the controller it is replacing. Setting the SMART parameter pre-sets all the other parameters ready for the programming to be completed in a few more easy steps.

Automatic Probe Recognition for PTC or NTC probes:
The Universal-R automatically identifies which type of temperature probe(s) is connected and adjusts itself accordingly. The existing probe type does not need to be known; provided it is an industry standard PTC or NTC, the Universal-R will recognise it and set itself accordingly.

Spare Probes:
2 x spare NTC probes are included in case the installed probes are faulty.

Configurable 4th Relay:
The Universal-R includes a fourth relay, which can be configured to switch an alarm, dead band heater or an auxiliary item.

Configurable digital input:
The Universal-R has a versatile digital input that can be configured for a variety of different uses, such as a door switch input, to trigger a defrost, to operate the auxiliary relay, to change the Set Point or to put the controller into Standby. It can also be used to signal two types of external alarm, a generic alarm where the regulation continues or a serious alarm where the regulation is stopped.

Controlling a second compressor:
The Universal-R can control a second compressor by use of the fan relay and insert a time delay to stagger the starting sequence.

Alarm buzzer:
The Universal-R incorporates an internal high/low temperature alarm buzzer, and can also signal to a remote alarm.

Hot Key Programming:
For quick and easy pre-programming of several controllers of the same configuration, a Hot Key can be used to program each controller in just seconds (Hot Key available as optional
extra).

Packaging & Documentation:
Each Universal-R is supplied individually boxed complete with a simple, easy to follow instruction manual explaining how to configure the controller in six simple steps, using the unique SMART parameter.
