Ezt-150 3/4 Waterless Condensate Water Trap Eztrap

The 150 / 250 ULTRATRAP Series EZT- 150 Standard plain trap, accepts 3/4" or 1" inlet and outlet, suitable for low pressure airhandlers, can be installed adjacent to airhandler or remotely in a vertical riser and can operate at up to 20 degrees from horizontal plane. If installed with 1" inlet can be retrofitted with an overflow switch which precludes horizontal and remote operation. Our Waterless Traps elminate standing water making freezing impossible. Can be used with positive and negative pressure systems.

This is our line of revolutionary and patented waterless ULTRATRAPS. These traps, which are also transparent and cleanable do not use the traditional U tube configuration which has been in use since the early days of airconditioning. These tend to dry out when no condensate is being produced and, without sufficient water to form an airlock, will permit airflow in either direction.

ULTRATRAPS , which utilize a spring driven plastic float enclosed in a clear barrel will not permit the flow of air in either direction as they do not rely on the presence of water, however they will always permit the free flow of condensate water. In a positive pressure AC system, , this advanced technology produces substantial energy savings because no conditioned air can be discharged through the drain line. Conversely, in a negative pressure AC system, no unfiltered air can be sucked into the airstream downstream of the filters and discharged into the home thereby maintaining and enhancing the Indoor Air Quality in the home.

Further, this type of trap also provides a positive lock which will not permit the ingress of insects or rodents into the home via an open drain line. The trap and all fittings, are UV resistant PVC which is glued with standard PVC adhesive. Caps are UV resistant polypropylene or Polyethylene. Spring is stainless steel.

All models include a 3/4" or 1" inlet cross, brush, adaptor, installation instructions and an self adhesive orange cleaning instruction label for application to the airhandler in the vicinity of the trap.
